Here are some of the most common questions I get for couples sessions, elopements, microweddings, and travel!
I'm based in Portland, Oregon, but I will literally travel anywhere to document your love story!
All the time!! Most often all over the PNW area—Washington, Oregon, and Norcal—but if your elopement or session takes you out of state or country, I'm beyond happy to document the adventure for you! If your wedding is in one of the places on my travel bucket list, I'll be there with no additional travel fees!
I never have a hard limit on how many photos I send back, I just send all the good ones! A good baseline is about 70-100 photos per hour of coverage. So a 6 hour wedding day will have about 600 ish photos, and a 2 hour session will have around 150.
I put all the love and care into perfecting each image, and edit every single one myself or a trained hire (no AI used here)! Which is why it'll take me a little bit more time to deliver your full gallery, but I always send a few sneak peeks within one week!
For microweddings and elopements, turnaround time is about 6 weeks.
For sessions, turnaround time is around 4 weeks.
I'm a huge advocate for body positivity, in my personal life and in my work! Your body is beautiful and worthy of being photographed just as it is, which is why I keep any "cosmetic" edits to minimal skin smoothing and spot removal.
Heck yeah!! LGBTQIA+, no matter how you identify and regardless of how you define your relationship, I'd love to be a part of your wedding day or session. Love is love and I'm 100% here for it!
Leave No Trace is a set of ethics that everyone who uses the outdoors should practice in order to do their part in protecting the environment. I practice this at shoots by staying on trails, disposing of any garbage/confetti/props, not geotagging, and keeping pets on leashes where required. Check out this link to learn more!
Every photographer is gonna have their own spin on the differences—mostly because there is no wrong answer anymore! Here’s how I define them…
Full weddings — “traditional”, 30-100 guests or more, at a designated venue, the whole spiel.
Microweddings — small, ranges between 15-30 guests, can be at a venue or in the wild, typically more relaxed vibe.
Elopements — super small, ranges between just the couple to 15 ish guests, the most relaxed/carefree, in the wild or at a courthouse.
First off, this is very relatable—and I got you! I do my absolute best to not make your shoot feel like a photoshoot, and give plenty of prompts and direction for you to mess around with. Seriously all the pressure to "perform" is off here! But when in doubt—snuggle are cute ♡
Totally understandable. These are your memories (and also the internet can be crazy sometimes) and if you are uncomfortable with your photos being shared on my social media platforms, I respect that! Just let me know in advance!
This has never happened (thank God) and will NEVER happen. However, IF it did, I have multiple amazing photog friends and contacts that will be able to step in. These are other talented photographers who will take great care of you! I will basically do anything it takes to have someone of similar skill and experience as me step in for the day, and I'll still edit the photos so you'll get the same vibes you love!
Life is complicated and can throw unexpected things our way. The retainer is non refundable as this helps to protect my business due to turning away all other booking for your wedding or session date. However if you opt to reschedule, we may be able to transfer your retainer to a different date without cancelling the contract!
I always book my own travel to ensure I get to and from your wedding on time and refreshed, and am flexible with accommodation (i.e. on site resort and hotel blocks)! I book all travel as if it was coming out of my own wallet, and keep an eye out for deals or spending nights at friend's houses when I can.
Absolutely! We can organize to split your payments into four or six installments. Just let me know if this is what you prefer before booking!
